Homemade Bread & Mom's Apricot Jam - Yum!

I love, love, love the smell of homemade bread freshly out of the oven. My nearly perfect loaves are sitting on the counter right now! Nearly perfect? Maybe not quite, but I'm doing a lot better than when we first got married! REWIND SIX MONTHS. In my mind I wanted to be a good wife and bake my sweet husband homemade bread, right? Well, my bread was more like a homemade brick. Aaron and I laughed as I tried to learn to use our new bread maker (which I had never used before) and I just couldn't get it right. The bread was either too hard, or it never rose, or it started to grow out of the bread maker, but it just never turned out. However, it was a good learning experience and a memory we will never forget. Now that I have a Bosch (these came from heaven) I have become a good little bread maker. I grind my own flour and make my own bread, and it actually tastes good!

The best part is homemade bread toasted with my mom's apricot jam on it. Aaron and I l have practically lived on bread and apricot jam for the past six months. The worst part of all is that our very last jar (meaning my mom has no more jars in the basement) of apricot jam is 3/4 of the way empty. What are we going to do? I don't think I'm ready to learn to make to jam. :S
