Boston - Part 2

On Sunday we went to church and then drove up to Vermont to visit the Joseph Smith Birthplace Memorial. It was a gorgeous day. Seriously. We were able to walk around (up and down some serious hills with our double stroller!) quite a bit, and the air was a little crisp and it just smelled like fall. Seriously one of my favorite parts of our whole trip!

Monday was another full and fun day! We went to Lexington and Concord, stopped by the Boston Temple, got a smoothie at Panera Bread (first time there), and toured Harvard. We ended up doing a LOT of walking. And our calves were still stinking sore from hiking the Bunker Hill tower on Saturday! That night we had a Labor Day BBQ with the Robertsons and had family home evening.

Tuesday morning we said good-bye to the Robertsons and set off for home. We stopped by Plymouth during the one hour it wasn't pouring rain (we were seriously so blessed that it stopped just for us - because Aaron said a prayer. Seriously. And he has WAY more faith than I do!). We saw Plymouth Rock and the Mayflower 2 and then ate at Subway. Because, let's be honest here, a vacation isn't a Jacob family vacation without stopping to eat at Subway.

What a trip!

  2. Your trip looks like so much fun. Maybe we'll have to squeeze a day trip to Boston into our fall break trip. I can't believe you've never had Panera. It is fabulous! Especially the black cherry smoothie - so good. Why are you so beautiful and skinny?!! Seriously, you are gorgeous and I love you! I can't wait to see you in less than a month! It will be a par-tay!
