Boston - Part 1

Labor Day weekend we headed up to Boston and stayed with our friends, Scott & Janelle (good old Wymount days!). They have two little boys (3 & 1), so getting together was a blast! The weather was perfect and we were able to see a ton of stuff!

We started out at the Boston Common.
Where "make way for ducklings," took place.

obviously there were TONS of ducks

we took a ride on a swan boat

with a 14 lb baby in tow! and YES, we made it to the top!
at the top! seriously, our calves were sore for days! haha!
haha, this position because I was sweating like mad and wanted to "air out" a little!

checking out the USS Constitution - aka, "a pirate ship!"
Michael would be fine if we moved onto this ship. :)

we make good looking pirates, eh?

we made it to the north end!
my awesome friend, Katie, came into the city for lunch and some yummy gelato. LOVED seeing her!

The Old North Church - one if by land, two if by sea

Janelle and Jamesy!

The Haymarket was one of my FAVORITE places! Seriously - never have I EVER seen such good looking produce for so cheap! If only they had one of these here - I would practically live there. We had to buy a nice big bag of grapes for a buck - I couldn't pass up that deal!

This old building (I don't remember what it is!) in the middle of all the modern buildings.

The Old City Hall - now turned into a steakhouse...yum!

Last stop - the Frog Pond! So much fun!

That was only the first day. Oh, and obviously utter exhaustion ensued. I learned that what my parents always said is true - "When you have kids vacation isn't 'vacation,' it's simply work." That being said, we still had a blast. I guess that is how it works. :)
