So, we're moving to Connecticut!!!

It's true.

Come the end of June, we are moving to this

beautiful place. Aka, Norwalk, Connecticut (or close by!).

It's interesting how when you think you have life all planned out, plans change. For the past year, Aaron had an offer with KPMG in Salt Lake, and come graduation we were looking forward to possibly buying a home and settling down somewhere between Orem and Salt Lake.

Fast forward to November. Aaron received a nomination to interview for a position with the FASB (Financial Accounting Standards Board) in Connecticut.

What is the FASB? I just looked this up: "The FASB consists of "accounting professionals who establish and communicate standards of financial accounting and reporting in the United States. FASB standards, known as generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), govern the preparation of corporate financial reports and are recognized as authoritative by the Securities and Exchange Commission." (investopedia.com)

The interview wasn't until February, so we had a long waiting game ahead of us.

February and the interview came and went, and last week we found out that Aaron was offered a position as a PTA. It is a one-year position, and will most likely mean that after the year is up, Aaron will end up working somewhere in Transaction Services instead of Auditing.

Aaron will work in this building on the left.

Change.
It's inevitable.
However, we feel like this is where we are supposed to be, and that it will be a great adventure for our little family!

  7. So exciting, April! I just know you and Aaron will be a force for good out in Connecticut.

And I definitely think we should plan a dinner with all of us B305 ladies so we can all catch up - especially on this exciting news! A few of us already up in SLC just got together a few weeks ago and it was glorious. I wish we would've invited you as well! Provo seems like such a distance sometimes... What days work best for you?
