I have a feeling that someday I'm going to look back on this year and say, "I wish I could back to those simple days when all I did was play with the boys, go on walks, and spend time at the park. Oh, that was the life!"
Really, my days are pretty simple. I don't have a car (unless I drop Aaron off), I don't have a job (obviously), I don't have a calling (yet, hopefully), and it's just me and the boys. I almost prefer not having a car, and not being able to run errands and keep myself too busy for living! We walk to the park almost every day, and we also walk to the library a lot! I love it. (p.s. A lot of walking, and
sweating, in this humidity, is very good for my post-baby body. Yet, another reason I don't mind not having a car.)
I love this little town we live in. It is simply beautiful! I love how green it is. I love how friendly everyone is. And I love how simple my days are (minus the regular craziness of kids, of course!).
I think I'm living the dream, folks.

| Welcome to Mead Park |
| For the most part we stay away from the water with the little guys, but it is beautiful. |
| Where we spend hours almost every day! There is a little kids section on the left, swings in the back, and the big playground straight ahead. There are baseball fields and tennis courts on the sides and behind me, and a little restaurant/snack shop. The train goes by in the trees on my right almost every half hour and Michael always asks where it is going and if he can go on it! Soon, Michael! Soon I'll take you on a trip on the train! p.s. - Notice the shade? That is why EVERYONE comes to the park! For the most part it's just nannies and me at the park, but a few moms come too, they are just older. I've still made a lot of good friends at the park, and I love seeing the same people here all the time. |
| Our means of transportation. |
| Thomas usually gets a few catnaps in on the way there and back - the park is a mile from our house and I'm a fairly slow walker with the forty+ pounds I'm pushing! |
| Oh, and everything has plaques with people's names on it - everything. I guess the people here don't want me to forget that their money helped build this park! |
| For a few days there was a digger in the parking lot, and we had to look at it every day. Michael was in heaven...and then the big pile of bark came along... |
| big tire...big boy |
| Lest I forget, Michael has to have a snack every day at the park. It's how he rolls. And it doesn't help that all the kids at the park are constantly running back to their nannies for snacks. Look at how chubby Thomas is getting! |
| I don't want to forget these simple and beautiful days. And crazy faces. |

This is the life.
