While Aaron was sharing things he had learned in the scriptures last night, my mind caught hold of this verse,
"Thou shalt not be idle; for he that is idle shall not eat the bread nor wear the garments of the laborer." (D&C 42:42)
Michael woke me up at 4:45am this morning. Something I read in the scriptures really resonated with me, especially because of last night's verse.
"...Wherefore, I give unto them a commandment, thus: Thou shalt not idle away thy time, neither shalt thou bury thy talent that it may not be known." (D&C 60:13)
Sometimes I think God wakes Michael up so that He can talk to me in the quiet of the morning.
It's so easy to idle away our time, especially online. I'm going to really cut back and just spend under five minutes every day checking e-mail, Facebook, blogs and such, and use my day for more productive and important things. :)

Thanks for sharing. I think that's a good idea for me too...considering that I'll have quite a bit of down time in the next few weeks before our baby's arrival.
ReplyDeleteHi April! Thanks for your comments awhile back on my blog...it's fun to see your blog and catch up on your life. Michael is SO adorable..you guys did well. :)
ReplyDeleteThis post is a great reminder to me! I have a real love/hate relationship with my computer. I love it for being able to keep in touch with people, etc., but I sure waste a lot of time on it, too. So you've inspired me to be better! Thanks :)
