Wow - we haven't even been here a week, and I have tons of pictures, and tons to blog about. For now - just the first few days. :)
Our drive down went surprisingly well - Michael only had two blow-outs, and he slept most of the way. However, since arriving, he has been teething and only wants to be held - a little difficult on me, but this is what I signed up for and I'm determined to enjoy it. We had a blast seeing family and friends in St. George and Vegas.
We're living with my Grandma and my uncle Rick - they are an interesting pair, and we love them. Aaron has been so patient and spends a lot of time talking with them.
We got here on Friday and realized that we brought WAY TOO MUCH STUFF! oh well.
On Saturday we also realized that at my Grandma's house, the world seems VERY small - we had to get out! We drove down to the office where Aaron is working at (so beautiful!) and then we went to Mission Bay.
Aaron at the office complex he works at - Moss Adams.
Mission Bay - No, we didn't make this in the sand - but it's cool, eh? :)
Sunday was great - I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Not only is the Sabbath such a special day, but wherever you go, you have family! It's so comforting when you have a big change (like moving to CA) and then you go to church and you feel like everything is the same - you even know where the bathrooms are in the building! We love the ward and the people are super friendly! I'm excited to get very-involved - because I need people! :)
We went to the temple - and get this, the temple security guy was none other than Eric Kerwin - an OHS buddy. So, he let us onto the grounds (which are normally locked on Sunday), and we got to walk around. Yes, there is scaffolding covering the whole temple, but it was still beautiful and Aaron couldn't stop talking about how much he loved it!
Since we were in La Jolla (which is our favorite place thus far) we drove down to see the beach on our way home. We found this amazing little spot - and it looks just like the dreamy Oregon Coast that I love so much. It is our new favorite spot.
NOW ON TO THE GOOD STUFF! (This deserves a post of its own!)
Aaron went to Orange County on Monday and Tuesday. Why? He had "training" at Disneyland, and dinner at Club 33. Hard life.
Do you know what Club 33 is? If not - read here.
Anyways, it is pretty much a secret restaurant for cool people inside of Disneyland. Yes. My husband is cool.
Get this - the bathroom doesn't say, "Men," it just has a picture of a "Gentleman" on it.
They ate through this little room...
the fancy food
ISN'T THAT SO COOL? I think so too - it just would have been WAY cooler if I would have been there. Better luck next time. :)
Oh, and Aaron did buy me the coolest Club 33 keychain - something you can only buy at Club 33. i. love. it. Good husband, I know. I've got the best.
That's all for now folks - believe me, I have lots more - wait until I tell you about driving in CA! AAAAHHH!
And to my Aaron in Utah - Aaron, I love you and I'm so proud of you! (Yes, he was gone overnight on Monday in OC, and then he flew to Utah for a Leadership Conference yesterday, and he'll be back tomorrow. Yes, I've been lonely.)
