Happy 3 Month Birthday Michael

Our little Michael is three months old today! Wow, time sure flies!

Since most of you may not have heard about when Michael was born, I'll give you a short re-cap.

Tuesday, October 20th - I'd been feeling random contractions, but nothing hurt.

Wednesday, October 21st

1:30am - I woke up to regular contractions that were about every four minutes, and they hurt!
3:30am - We leave for the hospital.
4:00am - Checked into the hospital, dilated to a 4.5
4:00-5:00am - In the most pain ever, I thought I was going to die!
5:00am - Epidural = HEAVEN
9:55am - Michael Aaron Jacob arrives!!!

Michael was 6lbs, 10oz, and 18.5 inches long (however, from subsequent Dr's visits soon after, we concluded he was actually around 19 or 19.5 inches long, and the measurement was off). He was born on Grandpa Cal Jacob's birthday and was named, in part, after my little brother, Jonathan Michael, who only lived one hour.

Michael had to be in the ICU for about five hours, so I didn't get to hold him or see him much until late afternoon.

He looked like a little Jacob right from the start - and definitely has Jacob genes!

The past three months have been the most tiring and joyful months! How we love being parents!

Michael had some jaundice, and so he was on bilireuben lights for a few days. Not fun.

Michael is the first grandchild on Aaron's side and the second (but first grandson) on my side. Needless to say, he has lots of loving people who love to hold him and play with him! We love being so close to family right now!

Where is Grandma Jacob? I just don't have pictures of her on my computer yet, I'll post them soon. :)

Michael has grown so much! He is such a sweet boy and has a very calm disposition and temperament, like his dad. He loves to smile and "coo," and is such a delight! He sleeps really well at night, and we feel like the most blessed parents ever!
