pretty sure i just battled michael for an hour to try and get him to take a nap...
pretty sure he won...
even after I cried...
and he said sorry....
and kissed me a million times...
right now he has pulled out his books, rubber bands, football, and everything else...
too much energy...
very tired mommy....
I'm not willing to give up his nap yet. he stays up way too late, so he needs one, right?
life.

Dear April, you are a hero. Motherhood is hard and you are in the very hardest part: pregnant with a toddler. Hang in there Sweetie! Maybe if he misses a nap he'll go to sleep earlier for you! =) We love you!!
ReplyDeleteOh April! I would cry too. I hope he catches on to the beauty of naps again soon. LOVE YOU!
ReplyDeleteEmily decided a couple months ago that she was done with naps. So after many days of trying to force it (what mom wants to give up their toddler's nap, right!?), I decided to institute "Quiet Time" instead (inspired by Adriane.) She can do whatever she wants in her room, as long as she stays in her room and is relatively quiet for the allotted amount of time. Pretty sure it has saved lives. ;) She occasionally sleeps every few days when the lack of naps catches up to her. But I miss the naps, too. She used to sleep for 3-4 hours in the afternoon. Just know you aren't alone! It's hard and there are mommies everywhere that are right there with ya! :)
