more Nauvoo

I love the Nauvoo Temple.

We were in Nauvoo for almost a week and spent quite a bit of time in the temple/on the temple grounds. You really can't go anywhere in Nauvoo without seeing the temple. We passed it multiple times a day and it always looked beautiful! I'm so grateful for the blessings of the temple in our lives and that our family can be together forever, even after death.

Sweet memories...

Our first night in Nauvoo

touching the temple

Hannah, Sara & I before doing baptisms for the dead

visiting temple grounds - gorgeous afternoon

families are forever - love these girls

When Aaron got to Nauvoo we went to the temple together as well!

The coolest part was getting a special tour by the temple president, President Condie, to the very top of the tower (because Aaron's great-great-great-great-Grandpa Jacob was the original builder of the tower!). What a view!

We were up in that tower!

Yes, we got to stand on the level right below the Angel Moroni!

Our last night in Nauvoo - looking out over the Mississippi

the men in the family

And thanks to Dad, we departed (Aaron & Hiram flew home and Dan & Annie flew back to Georgia) from the temple!

  1. Isn't it beautiful? Every time I'm driving down the road and BAM the temple comes into view, it takes my breath away and I always tear up!
